<p>A data processing apparatus, a data processing method, a data processing program, a data structure, and a recording media, a reproduction apparatus, a reproduction method, and a reproduction program are provided to extract and transfer compressed and encoded video data easily from a file having the vide data by using a long GOP. A data processing apparatus includes a decoding interval detector and a file forming unit. The decoding interval detector detects the second interval of video data in the coding order of frames required to decode the first interval specified in the display order of the frames. The video data are compressed and encoded by using inter-frame compression through a predictive coding scheme. The file forming unit forms a file storing the video data corresponding to the second interval detected from the decoding interval detector. The file forming unit adds the information of displaying the first interval in the display order of frames to the file.</p> |
