A system for determining a radiated RF(Radio Frequency) receiver sensitivity and associated methods are provided to determine the radiated RF receiver sensitivity, defined on the basis of a TCH(Traffic CHannel) power level at a certain BER(Bit Error Rate), for plural channels, which extend over one or more frequency bands, by using an RF source coupled to an RF receiver through a radio communication link. A test system for determining a radiated RF receiver sensitivity comprises an RF source(31'), an RF receiver(32'), a radio RF communication link(33'), and a test controller(34'). The radio RF communication link(33') couples the RF source(31') to the RF receiver(32'). The test controller(34') is coupled to the RF receiver(32'). The test controller(34') determines a BER-to-TCH power level function for an initial channel. Based on the BER-to-TCH power level function and a certain BER, the test controller(34') determines an estimated TCH power level for the next channel. Based on the estimated TCH power level, the test controller(34') measures BER of the next channel. The test controller(34') compares the measured BER with the certain BER. The test controller(34') determines the next estimated TCH power level by using the difference between the measured BER and the certain BER and the BER-to-TCH power level function. |
