A portable electronic device is provided to remove loose state between two sections when the two sections are at retained and operated positions, thus the device does not rattle at the corresponding positions. A housing includes two sections which relatively slide on each other. A sliding control mechanism between the two sections includes a cam surface and a cam member. A cam follower includes a pushing member. The pushing member pushes the cam follower on the cam surface. The cam surface has an outline configured to cause the cam follower moving along the cam surface to push the one section for the other section so that the pushed section turns toward a stable position. The pushing member includes at least one spring element. Each spring element is configured to apply forces substantially orthogonal for moving directions of the two sections. |
