APPARATUS FOR EXPANDIDNG TUBES

A tube expanding equipment which can shorten a tube expanding time and can decrease the work load of an operator at the same time by improving the working efficiency, and which can perform a tube expanding operation with a high degree of accuracy is provided. A tube expanding equipment(1) comprising: a plurality of rollers(2) each having a tapered portion(20) of which front side has a large diameter; a cylindrical expander frame(3) for rotatably holding the plurality of rollers on a concentric circle; a mandrel(4) inserted into the expander frame slidably and rotatably relative to the expander frame, the mandrel having a tapered portion(40) of which front side has a small diameter correspondingly to the tapered portion of each of the rollers, wherein the tube expanding equipment expands a diameter of a circumscribed circle formed by the plurality of rollers by moving the mandrel forward relative to the expander frame, thereby contacting the tapered portion of the mandrel with the tapered portions of the plurality of rollers. The tube expanding equipment further comprises: a drive means(5) that is coupled to the expander frame and rotates the expander frame; and a moving means(7) for moving the mandrel forward and backward relative to the expander frame.
