PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod rupturing and splitting device accurately rupturing and splitting the connecting rod into a connecting rod body and a bearing cap without causing abrasion or damage to a mandrel and a wedge by dispensing with one-side contact of the mandrel and the wedge. SOLUTION: With regard to a device for rupturing and splitting a connecting rod into a connecting rod body and a bearing cap by inserting a body side bearing cap side mandrels into the larger end side bearing of the connecting rod 1 integrally formed with the bearing cap composing the larger end part and the body side, to which the bearing cap is connected, and pressing a wedge 18 between the mandrels, a connecting rod rupturing and splitting device having at least two, among two mandrels 35-1, 35-2 and the wedge 18, supported in a rotationally movable manner does not cause any abrasion or damage because the wedge 18 constantly adheres closely to the mandrels 35-1, 35-2 at the time of press-in and one-side contact of the wedge 18 is gone. Also, because one-sided contact of the wedge 18 disappears, rupturing and splitting of the connecting rod into the connecting rod body and the bearing cap can be accomplished accurately. |
