PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of shoulder height adjusters for seat belts, reduce the number of components used, and facilitate assembly. SOLUTION: An operation knob 5 is mounted over the base end of a lock pin 4. That surface of a slide cover 3 which is opposite to a slider 2 has a lock pin guide 32 that projects around a through hole, which the point of the lock pin 4 passes, to guide the lock pin 4 and that has a spring seat at the projected end on which a spring for urging the lock pin 4 is pressed. That surface of the slide cover 3 which faces the slider 2 has jaws 34 and 35 projecting from the circumference of the through hole, and the projected ends of the jaws 34 and 35 are catches P bent back toward the through hole. When forced to the back surface side of the slider 2, the catches P couple the slide guide 3 to the slider 2. When the operation knob 5 is operated to dislodge the lock pin 4 from an engagement hole 11, this force urges the catches P of the jaws 34 and 35 more deeply to the back surface of the slider 2. |
