<p>A boring bit (10) in which the body (12) has two ends and a rotational axis. One end (16) is for a power tool. In the other end (14), a pilot screw (30) is removably supported in the body. A cutting blade (62) is removably supported in the body for engaging the work piece. The blade body is removably supported on the boring bit. The blade can include two cutting edges, one (64) extending radially across the end of the boring bit and another (66) positioned adjacent an outer circumference of the boring bit. The pilot screw and blade are held in the body of the boring bit by a combined quick release mechanism, where the pilot screw acts together with features of the boring bit body to support the blade. Teeth (40) may be present around the rim (38) of the body (12).</p> |
