The heat exchanger (1) has a housing (2) with an inlet aperture and an outlet aperture (10) for a first fluid and two or more internal profiles (12,13) adjacent to one another, each of which defines an inner channel (14) which forms a through passage for a second fluid. On the outsides of the profiles are ribs (16) and adjacent profiles each with a part of their ribs engage in one another. Between these ribs narrow through flow channels are formed. Between the ribs, a laminar flow of the first fluid is obtained... The ribs engage with each other in a parallel, or virtually parallel fashion. The disturbance between two adjacent ribs is slightly greater than the thickness of the ribs. The profiles are extruded and the ribs extend approximately in the length direction of the respective profiles.
