The rotor guide plates (4) are positioned so that the outer end (6) of a first guide plate and the inner end (5') of a second guide plate before it are both located in the same imaginary plane extending through the rotor midpoint (M). The outer end of the first plate extends at an angle to this plane. The rotor (2) has fixed guide plates arranged around the rotor periphery which have a vertical length greater than or equal to their width. Twice as many guide plates as rotor blades are provided.
