A magnet for a lift is provided to transport a high temperature body to be pulled up like a slab or a billet without loss or insulation damage by maintaining proper temperature. In a magnet for a lift of lifting a high temperature body to be pulled up by magnetic force adhesion, a magnet coil(14) surrounds a pole(13). An adiabatic unit(15) is arranged around the magnet coil, and prevents the heat of the pulled body from being transferred to the magnet coil. The adiabatic unit is a ceramic or glass-fiber adiabatic material. The adiabatic unit surrounds both sides and a bottom of the magnet coil.
