A high frequency power supply is provided with an amplifying section (14) which has a plurality of amplification elements, amplifies and delivers a high frequency output voltage signal from an oscillating section (13) by using the DC output voltage from a DC power supply section (19). In the amplifying section, the target level of the DC voltage is determined based on the voltage between the amplification side terminals of the amplification element.
