An extra high voltage device and a power receiving and transforming apparatus with the device are provided to improve work efficiency and to reduce installation space by arranging a current transformer between a vacuum circuit breaker and one side of a tank of the extra high voltage device. In an extra high voltage device installed in a power receiving and transforming apparatus for transforming an extra high voltage into a low voltage and then supplying the low voltage to each house, the extra high voltage device comprises a sealed tank(32). A load break switch(11) connected to an extra high voltage inputted from the outside, a measurement transformer(12) for detecting a voltage and a current of the extra high voltage and a vacuum circuit breaker(15) connected to the measurement transformer are arranged on the bottom of the tank. A power fuse(17) for short-circuit protection of the extra high voltage device is installed on one side of the tank. The inside of the tank is filled with an insulation gas, and a pressure relief plate is attached to at least a part of a top plane and a back plane of the tank.
