The invention concerns the field of electric arc hard-facing by fusible ferromagnetic electrode by direct current of articles made of ferromagnetic materials and can be used in machine building for production and the restoration by the method of electric arc hard-facing of articles made of ferromagnetic steels. The method of arched hard-facing by direct current by fusible electrode in flux includes action on the welding arc of the stationary longitudinal magnetic field, the longitudinal component of induction of which beyond the limits of the active spot of arc on the surface of article makes 15-20 mT. The elimination of molding defects of the roller, such as deviation of the primary axis of roller at switching on of magnetic field, and formation of undercuts are achieved.
