A mobile communication terminal for providing a community service and a method thereof are provided to supply information to at least one mobile communication terminal of the same community member located within a local area communication range by using wireless PAN(Personal Area Network) technology, thereby improving the convenience of a user. A display(150) displays communities for providing a community service. A controller(130) searches mobile communication terminals corresponding to members of a community selected from the displayed community. A communication module(170) transmits information, which will be shared, to the searched mobile communication terminals.
