TRANSFLECTIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND PANEL THEREFOR

A transflective liquid crystal display and a display panel therefor are provided to realize a high reflective rate while preventing yellowing of a reflective area by forming size of light holes of color filters between 20% and 80% of the reflective area. A transflective liquid crystal display having a transmissive area and a reflective area includes a first substrate(100). A reflective electrode(194) is formed on the first substrate, and is arranged on the reflective area. A second substrate(200) is opposite to the first substrate. A plurality of color filters(230R,230G) are formed on the second substrate and have light holes at the reflective area. A common electrode(270) is formed on the second substrate. An area of the light hole is more than 20% of an area of the reflective area.
