An anticorrosive coating composition which contains a non-polluting anticorrosive pigment containing no heavy metals and which, even when it comprises the pigment and any of various binder resins, has anticorrosive performances equal or superior to those of anticorrosive coating compositions containing a lead compound or chromic acid compound. Also provided is an anticorrosive coating composition having excellent storage stability. The anticorrosive coating compositions are characterized by comprising: a non-polluting anticorrosive pigment which contains no heavy metals and contains calcium polyphosphate obtained by burning at 180-350°C a single substance or mixture comprising a calcium ingredient and a phosphorus ingredient, the calcium/phosphorus atomic ratio in the two ingredients (Ca/P=m) being 0.50
