FIELD: methods and devices for sorting banknotes based on dilapidation, used for processing banknotes in banks. ^ SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, when determining degree of dilapidation, banknote is lit with visible light, by means of scanning devices full images are produced, which are compared to standard images. To prevent appearance of watermarks on scanned image, scanning background is selected to be mirror-like, while device contains visible spectrum lighting devices, which are positioned in such a way, that light from background is reflected to objective, sensitive element of scanner or mirror surface of background have form of polished rotary cylinder, device also contains light filter for selecting visible spectrum, charge-coupled device line, electronic device for reading image from charge-coupled device lines and transferring image to computer. ^ EFFECT: increased reliability of banknote processing due to removal of noises created by watermarks during scanning of banknote image. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg |
