An electro-optical device and an electronic apparatus are provided to prevent brightness deviation shown on a display picture due to parasitic capacitance difference between adjacent data lines, thereby improving the quality of image display. A plurality of scanning lines and a plurality of data lines(14(i)-1~14(i)-12) cross at a pixel area on a substrate. A plurality of pixels are formed at the pixel area correspondingly to crossing of the plurality of scanning lines and the plurality of data lines. N image signal lines supply N serial-to-parallel converted image signals supplied by a plurality of data line groups, wherein a group is formed of N data lines. A capacitance value parasite on data lines placed at an end of the group having fewer data lines than the N data lines is different from a capacitance value parasite on data lines different from the data lines placed at the end.
