An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method of an array substrate are provided to prevent a red spot from being generated due to the non-uniform thickness of an organic insulating layer, thereby enhancing the display quality. A color filter substrate comprises the first base substrate(110). A color filter layer(120) is formed on the first base substrate. A common electrode(130) is formed on the color filter layer. An array substrate(250) includes the second base substrate(210) partitioned by plural unit areas. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(220) is formed on the second base substrate. An organic insulating layer is formed on the second base substrate and has different thickness by sections. A pixel electrode(260) is formed on the organic insulating layer. A liquid crystal layer(300) is interposed between the array substrate and the color filter substrate. The color filter layer includes plural color pixels corresponding to plural unit areas. The organic insulating layer has different thickness by color pixels.
