APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SENDING UDP/IP BASED A1 INTERFACE MESSAGE IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

An A1 interface message transmission device based on user datagram/IP(Internet Protocol) in a mobile communication system and a method are provided to solve a reliability problem for message transceiving when a UDP(User Datagram Protocol)/IP is used as an A1 interface protocol between a control station and an MSC(Mobile Switching Center), thereby offering reliable signal connection. An MSC receives a UDP/IP-based A1 message from a control station(605). If a value of a retransmission count is 0, the MSC transmits a response message for the A1 message to the control station(620). If the value is not 0, the MSC checks whether the A1 message is the same message as a previously received message(615). If so, the MSC transmits a response message only for the A1 message to the control station(630).
