COLOR FILTER SUBSTRATE FOR DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A color filter substrate for a display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance the contrast ratio of brightness of an image display device and to simplify a color filter pattern formation process. A color filter layer is formed on a substrate and dyed by dyestuffs so that at least one or more colors among red, green, blue and magenta are represented. A pole spacer(225) is formed by the same materials as the color filter layer. The color filter substrate also includes a black matrix located between the color filter layers for representing different colors and dyed by plural dyestuffs with different colors. The color filter layer is dyed by an ink jet manner or a dipping manner. The pole spacer is dyed by plural dyestuffs with different colors. When manufacturing the color filter substrate, an organic layer is coated on the substrate and patterned to the color filter area and the pole spacer area. Thereafter, the patterned organic layer is dyed so that the color filter layer with different colors is formed.
