The proposed method of trigonometric leveling by an electronic tachymeter is distinctive by determining the positions of observation points at the earth surface by geodetic instruments, with consideration for the effect of the vertical refraction on the leveling accuracy. To determine the positions of the observation points, intermediate test stations are used, so the expenses for arrangement of additional geodetic points are decreased. The proposed method is distinctive by its enhanced measurement accuracy.
