A method for treating of rectal cancer provides catheterization of the superior rectal artery and administration of chemotherapeutic drugs followed byresection of rectum. Upon the administration of chemotherapeutic drugs, endovascular embolization of the superior rectal artery is performed. The resection of rectum is carried out in 2-3 days.
