METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING CALL SETUP FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL ON EV-DO NETWORK

A system for supplying call setup to a mobile communication terminal in an EV-DO(Evolution-Data Optimized) network and a method thereof are provided to retransmit an RTC(Reverse Traffic Channel)-Ack(Acknowledgement) message if a traffic channel complete message is not received from the terminal for a certain time, thereby reducing TCF(Traffic Channel Fail) phenomena. An access network transmitter receives a CR(Connection Request) message from a mobile communication terminal(S200). The transmitter sends an AC(Access Channel) Ack message through a control channel, and sends a traffic channel assignment message to the terminal(S202). The transmitter receives a reverse traffic channel message, and sends a mobile acquired message to an access network controller(S204). The controller controls so that an RTC-Ack message is transmitted(S206). The controller confirms whether a traffic channel complete message is received from the terminal(S208). If not, the controller confirms whether a certain time is exceeded(S210). If so, the controller controls the transmitter to retransmit the RTC-Ack message to the terminal(S216).
