A connector is provided to have supporting members fixed on a base member. A housing(10) has an important part(14) and end parts(15) disposed in opposite ends of the important part(14). A plurality of contacts(11) is maintained in the housing(10). A pair of supporting members(12) are attached to the housing(10) in the end parts(15) of the housing(10). Each of the supporting members(12) includes an upper part and a lower part. The end parts(15) of the housing(10) are disposed between the upper part and the lower part. An upper arm has an upper contact part mounted on the base member. The upper arm is extended from the upper part to at least the upper contact part. A lower arm has a lower contact part mounted on the base member. The lower arm is extended from the lower part to at least the lower contact part.
