An optical disk having a desired thickness is formed by bonding a stamper disk (20) to an L0 layer disk (10). One major side of the stamper disk (20) is provided with minute projections and recesses to be transferred to an L1 layer, and bonding of the stamper disk (20) to the L0 layer disk (10) is carried out after forming minute projections and recesses on an intermediate layer (32) by transferring the projections and recesses thereto from the stamper disk (20).
