An apparatus and a method for outputting data of a semiconductor memory are provided to prevent a data output error even when a smaller number of registers than unit data output by one read command are used in outputting data. An apparatus for outputting data of a semiconductor memory includes a plurality of storage units. An input control signal generation unit(400) generates an input control signal to input data stored in the semiconductor memory into the storage units. An output control signal generation unit(500) generates an output control signal to output the data stored in the storage units. A second output control signal generation unit(600) generates a second output control signal by adjusting the output control signal in order for an enable period of the output control signal not to be overlapped with an enable period of the input control signal, and then outputs the second output control signal to the storage units.
