<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tough electrophotographic photosensitive member having high sensitivity, excellent in electrophotographic characteristics such as electrostatic charging property and residual potential, less liable to deterioration by mechanical stress, and particularly having high sensitivity to light having a wavelength of 380-500 nm. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a polycarbonate resin comprising a repeating structural unit represented by formula (1), and the photosensitive member is exposed with light having a wavelength of 380-500 nm, wherein R<SP>1</SP>represents H atom or alkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>each represent alkyl group; and (m) and (n) each represent an integer of 1-4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
