<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasoline engine with a supercharger capable of surely increasing a low-speed torque. <P>SOLUTION: This engine with the supercharger comprises an engine body 2 having a first cylinder group 4b, 4c and a second cylinder group 4a, 4d the firing orders of which are discontinuous, a first exhaust passage 6 branched and connected to the cylinders of the first cylinder group, collected on the downstream side, and having a first volume, a second exhaust passage 8 branched and connected to the cylinders of the second cylinder group, collected on the downstream side, and having a second volume larger than the first volume, and the variable displacement supercharger 14. The variable displacement supercharger comprises an inner peripheral scroll chamber 20 and an outer peripheral scroll chamber 22 formed around a turbine and a control valve 30 controlling the flow of exhaust gases from the inner peripheral scroll chamber to the outer peripheral scroll chamber.
