FILTER, PISTON PUMP USING IT, AND METHOD OF FITTING FILTER INTO VALVE SHEET MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the productivity and reduce the cost of a filter and a piston pump using the filter by manufacturing the filter for liquid filtration fitted into a valve sheet member without a drawing step by a press.

SOLUTION: This filter 1 comprises a body part 2 having filter holes formed in the center portion and projections 3 integrally formed on the outer periphery of the body part 2 at intervals in the circumferential direction. The entire filter is formed of a sheet metal in a flat plate shape. The filter 1 is pressed into the storage hole of the valve sheet member forming the discharge valve of the piston pump so that the projections 3 are bent to the inlet side of the storage hole and pressingly fitted onto the inner surface of the storage hole desirably with a flexible restoring force and secured to the valve sheet member.
