PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle, automatically switching to an image of a range including a body part having the highest risk of contact in the middle of traveling on a narrow road or a narrow curved road and displaying it. SOLUTION: A display controller 11 discriminates approach or entry to a narrow road or a curved road using road map information on the periphery of a current position of a vehicle obtained by a navigation device 13 and a distance to an obstacle around the vehicle measured by a vehicle periphery sensor 14 , further distinguishes the discriminated narrow road or the traveling status in a crank using the vehicle information collected by a vehicle information collecting means 12, and outputs a display control command designating the display contents of an image of the periphery of the vehicle photographed by an on-vehicle camera 15, so that a camera image switching device 16 selects an image obtained by changing the view point position and view point direction of a virtual camera and the display range as designated by the display contents of the display control command, and displays the same on the display device 17.
