PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide furniture with a strut device which is made to press against the ceiling surface of a building at a place where the furniture is installed to thereby prevent falling of the furniture. SOLUTION: At the upper end of the furniture, a rectangular recessed space 16 surrounded by a surrounding frame 15 composed of both of left and right side plate parts 9a and 10a, a back plate part (belt-like back plate 14) and a front plate part (belt-like front plate 13) which project upward higher than a top plate 12 is formed. In the rectangular recessed space 16, a plate 21 for strut is loosely fitted so as to be freely fitted/removed and moved up and down.
