摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a structure capable of establishing the proportionality of the phase difference between the output signals from a pair of sensors 5 and 5 to the radial (vertical) displacement amount of an encoder 8d with respect to both sensors 5 and 5. SOLUTION: S-poles and N-poles are arranged on a side surface (detected surface) of the encoder alternately at regular intervals with respect to the circumferential direction. The boundaries between the S-poles and N-poles have a dog-legged shape where the radial intermediate part most projects to one side in the circumferential direction, and the side on the radial outside of each boundary and the radial inside thereof are curved where the proportionality is established between the radial position and the center angle position. The detecting sections of the pair of sensors 5 and 5 are closely faced to the radial outer half section and the radial inner half section of the upper part of the detected surface.
