PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for inspecting the shape or characteristic of a resin molded article S accurately, at a high speed, with a simple constitution and a method for inspecting resin. SOLUTION: Millimeter wave extended like a line from a horn H is emitted to the resin molded article S, reflective millimeter wave after the emitted millimeter wave have reflected the resin molded article S is received by a millimeter wave receiving antenna AT. Thus, a received signal is obtained by a receiver 43, and the existence of a molding failure of the resin molded article S is analyzed, based on the obtained received signal.
