<p>Apparatus for the lifting of pipelines, that comprises a frame having two vertical side beams (14,14' ) and a transverse top beam (12) interposed between the vertical beams; two concave and symmetrically disposed supporting members (16,16' ) pivotally connected to the two vertical beams, respectively, and configured to achieve a pipe supporting position without applying a radial inwardly directed force to the bottommost portion of the pipe when the frame is suitably lowered and the supporting members (16,16' ) are suitably pivoted; a driving unit (22) disposed within, and fixedly attached to, each of the supporting members, for generating a linear downwardly directed force; a force transmitting element connected to a driving unit rod (67) along which a corresponding driving unit housing is slidingly displaceable; a control unit for independently controlling each of the driving units (22) ; and at least one connecting means (28) for releasably connecting the two supporting members.</p> |
