<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide appropriate information corresponding to the status of merchandise to a purchaser about merchandise whose status changes according to the lapse of a time. <P>SOLUTION: This information providing device is provided with a database access means 14 for performing access to a merchandise information database in which a period when the change of a status occurs in merchandise specification information and status-categorized merchandise information are stored so as to be associated with each other; an ID information issuing means 15 to be operated when receiving status estimation basic information and the merchandise specification information from terminal equipment for generating ID information, and for transmitting the information to the terminal equipment, and for storing the ID information and status estimation basic information and the merchandise specification information in the merchandise information database by associating them with each other; a status estimation means to be operated when receiving the ID information from the terminal equipment for estimating the current status of merchandise; and a merchandise information transmitting means 18 for extracting the status-categorized merchandise information corresponding to the estimated status from the merchandise information database, and for transmitting it to the terminal equipment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
