<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device for an ion exchange resin layer capable of detecting a transparent ion exchange resin at a high accuracy, performing detecting at a high accuracy even when the ion exchange resin layer is detected using a photographing means having an AGC mechanism and discriminating the transparent ion exchange resin layer and a transparent liquid even when the transparent ion exchange resin layer exists in the transparent liquid, and a method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for detecting the ion exchange resin layer 3 existing in a part 8 to be detected through a light-transmitting surface 7, the part 8 to be detected is irradiated with an irradiation light of a narrow half-value angle from a light source 11 such that a high luminance area in the half-value angle becomes 1/2 or less, a reflection light is received by a photographing member 13 having the AGC mechanism, a luminance of an area including a low luminance area 22 out of the half-value angle θ is measured, photographing is performed while controlling the luminance, and an image signal is taken out from the high luminance area 21 of a photographing picture 23 to a data processing part to detect the ion exchange resin layer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
