PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a damper device and a blower reducing a suction pressure to an opening and closing plate by the blower, by carrying out control so as to stop the blower, or lower a rotational frequency of the blower to a predetermined rotational frequency or less during opening and closing driving of the damper device opening and closing an opening of a bypass passage for indoor air wherein one part of sucked air is directly bound for a blow-out opening without passing through a heat exchanger, and capable of preventing dew formation by an operation stopping means when a driving device or the like breaks down. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is comprised by providing the heat exchanger and the blower 3 in an air passage connecting a suction opening and the blow-out opening, forming the bypass passage wherein one part of sucked in air from the suction opening is directly bound for the blow-out opening without passing through the heat exchanger, and providing the damper device 1 provided with the opening and closing plate 6 opening and closing the opening of the bypass passage, and the driving device 7 driving the opening and closing plate, in the opening of the bypass passage. It is composed such that when driving the opening and closing plate, control is carried out to stop the blower, or lower the rotational frequency of the blower to the predetermined rotational frequency or less.
