PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simulate circuit characteristics using the variation by calculating variation depending on the arrangement position of an element or the like by using the layout position information of a semiconductor integrated circuit. SOLUTION: Layout position information 503 is input, and position dependence variation information 504 as the variation of a characteristic parameter or a shape parameter varying according to the arrangement position of each element configuring a semiconductor integrated circuit to be designed is output in a position dependence variation calculation step S501. Afterwards, circuit information 505 is input for performing simulation in a step S502, and the value of the circuit information 505 is corrected only for the position dependence variation of the position dependence variation information 504 for performing simulation, and a simulation result 506 is calculated.
