PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laid panel structure which facilitates prevention of damage on an end face thereof, and is low in cost, and to provide an end face finishing method for facilitating end face finishing of the laid panel structure. SOLUTION: A raw material of the laid panel structure (4) is formed through a straining step of thermally welding a front finish material 1 formed of a predetermined raw material on a core 2 formed of a foamed synthetic resin board via a laminate film 3. Then a peripheral edge of the core 2 of the laid panel structure raw material is melted, and a peripheral edge of the front finish material 1 is bent and welded to a side surface of the core 2, followed by cutting the peripheral edge of the front finish material 1 squeezing upward from the side surface of the core 2, together with part of the core 2, in a diagonally upward direction, to thereby form an end face finished portion 8. The end face finished portion 8 is formed through a melting step of pressing and melting the peripheral edge of the core 2 by a heat press 12; a welding step of pressing the peripheral edge of the front finish material 1 squeezing from the side surface of the core 2 by a pressing die 13 and bending and welding the same to the side surface of the core 2; and a chamfering step of cutting the peripheral edge of the front finishing material 1 squeezing upward from the side surface of the core 2.
