PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for adjusting a yarn tensile force effective inside a false twisting zone almost independently of draw ratio. SOLUTION: The false twist texturing machine has a form in which a twist stopping device 65, a heating device 18, a cooling device 19 and a false twisting unit 20 are disposed inside a false twisting zone at the texturing process of a synthetic yarn in each one processing point at the false twist texturing machine. The twist stopping device is constituted as a rotatable transport roller 30, around which the yarn is at least partially wrapped in a peripheral direction and which is drivable by a drive in such a way that the yarn is braked or delivered, so that the yarn tensile force is adjustable inside the false twisting zone.
