PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projector capable of improving image quality by preventing image light causing the deterioration of image quality from reaching a screen. SOLUTION: Regarding the projector PD wherein a plane mirror MF is positioned on one end side of the end parts of a screen SCN, and a projection optical system PS is positioned away from the reflection surface s11 of the plane mirror MF, a light shielding plate ST is arranged in at least one of a space between a fourth mirror MC4 for the projection optical system PS and the plane mirror MF and a space between the plane mirror MF and the screen SCN.
