A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the damage of a thin film transistor by contacting a main wall of a partition to an encapsulation substrate when the encapsulation substrate is deformed. A display device includes an insulating substrate(110), a thin film transistor, a pixel electrode(151), a partition(160), an organic layer(170), a common electrode(180), and an encapsulation substrate(210). The thin film transistor is formed on the insulating substrate(110). The pixel electrode(151) is connected with the thin film transistor. The partition(160) surrounds the pixel electrode(151), and has a main wall(160a) of a first height and an auxiliary wall(160c) of a second height. The organic layer(170) is formed on the pixel electrode(151). The common electrode(180) is formed on the organic layer(170). The encapsulation substrate(210) is bonded with the insulating substrate(110) along the edge of the insulating substrate(110).
