PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for obtaining an elastic body with good shaping precision without requiring cooling and without using a mold releasing agent when the elastic body is taken out of the die after termination of hardening in the die formation of thermosetting elastic resin. SOLUTION: The roller forming die used for manufacturing a middle elastic roller by forming an elastic layer on a shaft core body when manufacturing the developing roller composed of the shaft core body, the elastic layer and a surface layer has an interior wall surface which is a nitride layer and whose surface roughness Ra (arithmetic average roughness) is≥0.1μm and≤0.7μm.
