PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device capable of electrically connecting a conductive film above a dielectric film and a conductive film below the dielectric film to each other without giving an adverse influence on the characteristics of the dielectric film. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device includes: a plurality of pixel electrodes 9a arranged in an image display area 10a on a TFT array substrate 10; storage capacitors 70 which are disposed below the pixel electrodes 9a with a third interlayer insulating film 43 interposed therebetween and in which a lower electrode 71, the dielectric film 75 and a capacitor electrode 300 are sequentially layered; and a capacitor line 400 disposed over the extending part 75s of the dielectric film 75. Further, the device includes a first relay wiring 910 disposed below the dielectric film 75, and a relay layer 901 comprising at least the same film as the pixel electrodes 9a and electrically connecting the capacitor line 400 and the first relay wiring 910.
