PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device having little irregular color by increasing selective luminescence in pixel portions. SOLUTION: An organic EL device 1 is a light emitting device which comprises a plurality of pixel portions A1 and non-pixel portions A2 arranged between the pixel portions A1. The organic EL device 1 includes a function layer 110b which is arranged across the pixel portion A1 and the non-pixel portion A2 and contains a liquid crystal material and a host material.
