PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust rotation balance of a balance within a prescribed value in a short time without imposing burden on an operator to the utmost. SOLUTION: The rotation balance adjusting device 10 for the balance combined with an escapement and built in a mechanical timepiece, which is the device for automatically adjusting the rotation balance of the balance, comprises: a rotation balance measurement means 11 for measuring the position of the center of gravity in the radial direction by rotating the balance around a shaft body at a prescribed rotational speed; a calculation means 12 for calculating a weight adjustment quantity and a weight adjustment position of a balance wheel from the measured position of the center of gravity; a balance adjusting means 13 for adjusting the weight balance of the balance wheel on the basis of the calculated weight adjustment quantity and the weight adjustment position; a conveyance means 16 for conveying the balance between the rotation balance measurement means and the balance adjusting means; and a control means 17 for successively and repeatedly actuating the rotation balance measurement means and the balance adjusting means until the amount of eccentricity between the position of the center of gravity and the position of the center of rotation is not more than a prescribed value.
