PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based coating material that can provide a coating film being able to maintain moist and soft touches for a long time, and has a long pot life. SOLUTION: The water-based coating material uses an aqueous dispersion in which urethan beads comprising crosslinked urethane resins; hydrophilic functional group-containing polyurethane resin particles that works as a binder of the formed coating films; and a crosslinking agent that crosslinks the hydrophilic functional group-containing polyurethane resin are dispersed and contained. The water-based coating material preferably contains the hydrophilic functional group-containing polyurethane resin having 100% modulus of 2.0-10 N/mm<SP>2</SP>and an elongation rate of 300-900% and contains 20-50 mass% of the urethan beads with respect to the total solid contents.
