PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving the display of patterns in the reels of a slot machine for a game which permits a player to easily perform intentional aiming stop control (reel control) for a bonus game without relying on a clerk's help. SOLUTION: The method of improving the display of patterns in the drum of a slot machine is characterized by the coloring of intermediate parts (4a) and (4b) between both sides (3a) and (3b) of rotary reels (3) visible from a pattern display window (2) of the machine (1) and the rotary reels (3) white, and formation of numbers, signs, letters or patterns (5) equivalent to jackpot pips in a small size, and painting over of rectangular spaces (6) surrounding the patterns (5) with a color in the slot machine (1).
