PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-traveling type vacuum cleaner which can efficiently perform cleaning without leaving uncleaned regions. SOLUTION: After performing an overall reciprocating cleaning, a traveling along wall is performed. For traveling along the wall, an uncleaned area at the time of the overall reciprocating cleaning is searched. When the uncleaned area is found, a partial reciprocating cleaning is performed regarding the uncleaned area. Traveling along the wall is performed until at least one round in a room is performed, and thus, an efficient cleaning without overlooking uncleaned regions can be achieved.
